The Detect Pro Cordless Vacuum is a newer model from the trusted brand that makes several of our favorite vacuum cleaners we’ve ever tested. The lightweight stick vacuum normally costs close to $400 but is 47 percent off today. Shark says the versatile cordless vacuum offers a smarter way of cleaning by employing sensors that automatically change the sweeper’s suction power.

The Detect Pro’s battery can last up to 40 minutes on a charge at the lowest power setting. The fact the battery is removable is also a handy feature because it lets you keep a spare battery pack fully charged and ready for your next cleaning job.

It also converts to a handheld vacuum using a short wand attachment, if you need to clean crumbs out of your car or couch cushions. Other nice features include a HEPA filter and an LED display that shows real-time battery levels — but those aren’t what make this Shark vacuum stand out.

One of the best things about it is the Detect Pro’s FloorDetect technology, which senses debris and alternates between different cleaning modes based on where it’s being used, including carpet, hard floors, edges, and low-light areas. An Amazon shopper who found it helpful said that the vacuum “captures all [the] hidden dirt on every surface, corner, [and] edge of furniture.”

It’s been popular on Amazon lately, with more than 1,000 customers picking one up in the past month. “[The] combination roller for carpets and hard floors works great,” wrote another reviewer. “I’ve used a couple [of] cordless Samsung vacuums, this Shark is better on carpet.”
